First, since I’ve been accused of falsely claiming to be plagiarized by a certain game maker and not very many people want to see the evidence for themselves, I’ll just leave this screenshot here where he clearly says that he got lines from my script. Also note that when he says he used “similar lines”, he means lines that have English and Japanese translations that are essentially the same as mine. I also know not that there are better ways to translate these lines from English to Japanese, so I would say that they probably didn’t actually translate them themselves.
And now that you’ve seen some evidence, read here for all of the instances of plagiarism because there were a lot more than just my script.
Even though my script has finally be removed from the game as of the Alpha 2.1.2 release, I’m keeping the evidence here. It doesn’t seem like it was that hard to change it since the subtitles and voiced lines were changed within a week, so why wasn’t it done earlier?
Anyways, I’m keeping all my scripts besides the one that was plagiarized private. I do not enjoy being taken advantage of, and I feel sorry for all the voice actors in the online Japanese voice acting community who were actually being decent human beings and crediting me fairly as a scriptwriter and translator. I don’t think there is a single creative person, whether they’re an artist or a writer, who is perfectly fine with their work being used while they’re uncredited, especially as a small creator. I can only hope that a certain person doesn’t have to deal with anyone with a much larger following stomping all over his work and claiming it as their own.

[Update 2021/04/02: Please read this document if you want to know all the annoying details of the “Saiko no Sutoka” situation. The gamedev has not listened to my request to have my script removed from the game and has plagiarized several other scripts while profiting off the game.]
This is not one of my normal posts, but a recent event has peeved me.
I was watching a video of the new Alpha 2.0 gameplay of the very popular game “Saiko no Sutoka”. Imagine my surprise as I found that the first few lines of antagonist’s dialogue in the opening cutscene are lines and translations that are almost the same word-for-word from my script “Are You Awake Yet?“. The following lines are nearly identical between the game and my script.
Good morning… or I guess I should say “good evening.”
You can’t really tell from this room, but it’s night now.
… You’ve been asleep here for a few hours already.
Hmm? Of course I’ve been here this whole time.
I’ve been watching you sleep so peacefully…
Now, I realize that there is some miniscule possibility that the creator of the game came up with these lines because they’re typical yandere lines. However, the only difference between my script and the game’s is the omission of “Hmm? Of course”, as the order of the lines and Japanese translations are identical. The dialogue is not a big focus in the game, but the fact still stands that he likely stole these lines and claims them as his own.
I have emailed the creator multiple times to ask whether he can remove the lines or give proper credit, as I never gave permission to use these lines. I have given him ample time to respond in case it was a misunderstanding, but all he has given me is silence. He is quite active in his Discord server, so I have a reason to believe that he is choosing to ignore my emails. I must make it clear that I am not writing this to send hate his way, but I am asking that you keep in mind that this developer has likely stolen this work and may have done so to other people.
I apologize for making this type of post, and I will probably not make another like it. Thank you for reading and for your continued support.
